Loan Cars.

Part of our commitment to delivering a great owner experience is the loan / hire car facility at low rates available from City Great Wall. When your Great Wall Ute needs a service, call us on (08) 9449 9444 or use this Book a Service link and tell us if you need a loan car.

Our loan cars are all passenger vehicles, not commercial utilities and are subject to availability & prior booking. All we ask is that you please don't smoke in our cars or a detailing fee may apply. Loan cars are subject to availability & prior booking and there are some rules while using our loan cars.

What do I need to take a Loan Car?

A current valid Australian driver's license.

 

What do I pay if the car is damaged?

If the vehicle is damaged in any manner during the period of loan and if such damage is claimed from the Company's insurers, you will be responsible to pay the insurance excess of (and not limited to) $2500. This excess may be higher for drivers under 25 years of age. If the total cost of repair amounts to less than the insurance excess amount, you will be responsible for the total repair amount.  

You will be responsible to pay for the total cost of repair of damage to the vehicle occurring under the following circumstances;

  • Damage done in any areas off sealed roads.
  • Any undercarriage damages, other than that caused as a result of an accident on a sealed road.
  • Any damage to any part on the vehicle caused deliberately or recklessly by you or any other person during the loan period.
  • Damage to tyres, including punctures, and wheels other than normal wear except that caused in an accident.
  • Damage occurring to that part of the vehicle which is glass except that which occurred in an accident.
  • Damage to motor, suspension, chassis, differential, gear box, axles or any other part of the vehicle which is a result of misuse or abuse of the vehicle.
  • Any damage to the vehicle done outside allowed area of use.

 

What if I have an accident?

In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, you have the following obligations under this agreement; 

  • To contact City Great Wall as soon as reasonably possible but within 24 hours of the accident. 
  • Not to abandon the vehicle unless specifically permitted to by City Great Wall. 
  • To make your best effort to obtain the driver license number, name and address of other parties involved in the accident, and supply the information to City Great Wall upon completion of the accident report form.

 

Collecting & returning the car.

Cars can only be taken and returned from City Great Wall during the Service Department opening hours; Weekdays, 8am - 5pm. 

 

Who may drive the vehicle?

Only you and persons named may drive the vehicle. To name other drivers, you will need their full name, date of birth, address, License No. & License expiry. A once-off cost of $10 per additional driver applies.

 

Area of use.

Our insurance boundaries are limited to the Perth Metropolitan area only. Special requests can be made for use beyond these boundaries.

 

Transmission.

Auto transmission & Manual Transmission cars are available.

 

Petrol.

You are responsible for fuel. We ask that you to refuel the car back to the starting level. Shortages are charged at $1.75L.

 

Smoking.

We ask that you please do not smoke in our cars or a detailing fee may apply.

 

Baby Seats.

We do not supply baby seats, but all our cars have the required fittings. After transferring your baby seat, we ask you to check all fittings before driving.

 

Breakdowns.

All cars are covered by 24 hour Roadside Assistance.

If the vehicle breaks down, contact Roadside Assistance on 1800 817 100 as soon as reasonably possible. You are not to authorise any persons to carry out any repairs what-so-ever without prior approval from City Great Wall. You have an obligation not to abandon the vehicle if it breaks down. Your responsibility for the vehicle is retained until City Great Wall or their authorised agent (for example a tow-truck operator authorised by City Great Wall) takes possession of the vehicle.

City Great Wall cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of delay caused by the break down of the vehicle.

 

If the vehicle is stolen.

If the vehicle is stolen, you are liable to pay the excess. You are indemnified against any further cost of the loss unless;

  • You fail to report the loss as soon as reasonably possible to the local police and City Great Wall.
  • You had abandoned the vehicle without permission from City Great Wall.
  • You left the vehicle unlocked or you left the vehicle with the keys in it.

In all of these cases, you will be liable for the total cost of the loss. City Great Wall will not accept any responsibility for any loss of personal property from the vehicle.

 

Unpaid Parking Tickets & Traffic Infringements.

A $20 administration fee is charged for each Infringement. We are required by law to supply a Statutory Declaration with your details to the Parking/Traffic Authorities. If we have forwarded you a copy of a Speeding Camera or Traffic Light Camera Infringement, you will need to wait until the Authority reissues it in your name before you can pay the fine (±4 weeks).

 

Personal Privacy Guarantee.

We do not release, trade, or sell your personal details to any person or organisation (other than to Police Agencies when directed by Law).
